Roundtables

Industry Roundtable

The Industry Roundtable convenes cross‑sector stakeholders during the annual Translational Science conference to address shared challenges and opportunities in clinical and translational research through focused, non‑proprietary discussion.

The Industry Roundtable brings together:

  • Academic research leaders
  • Industry partners
  • Advocacy organizations
  • Federal agency representatives (NIH, FDA, CMS, PCORI)

Focus areas include:

  • Improving clinical trials and medical product development
  • Streamlining and modernizing regulatory processes
  • Advancing pre‑competitive research collaboration

Roundtable outcomes are published and shared with member institutions.

Translational Science conference registration is required.

IT Roundtable

The IT Roundtable is a virtual event for academic health center IT leaders that supports discussion of key infrastructure issues in clinical research. Established in 2005, it remains one of the Clinical Research Forum’s most active initiatives.

Focus areas include:

  • Clinical care and clinical research data integration
  • Data warehousing and data security
  • Electronic health record platforms
  • Governance and operational best practices

Details for the 2026 IT Roundtable will be announced later this year.
