- Published in a peer-reviewed journal from December 2025 to December 31, 2026
- Performed at a U.S. institution
- Team representative must attend CR Forum Top 10 Event, held in Washington, D.C.
- Participate in Congressional visits.
- Present/share research findings.
- Receive award in person.
- Studies that involve more than one institution may be submitted. Only one nomination letter from the person nominating the study is necessary, but the collaborating institutions should be noted. Typically, either the first or the last author are asked to accept the award, but exceptions can be made.
Eligible Research:
All nominated studies must be clinically relevant and ready to make an impact on the heatlh of humans.
- Mechanisms of human disease
- Therapeutic interventions
- Clinical trials
- Development of new technologies
- Epidemiological & behavioral studies
- Outcomes & health services projects
- Human physiology studies
- Data Science
- Studies utilizing human cells or tissues or human subjects only; animal studies are permitted, as long as human cells are used and there is a clear human impact
Online Submission Requirements:
- Completed nomination form
- For Clinical Research's internal use. The nomination form will require the submitter to choose from one of three project types: Purely Clinical (Interventional or observational studies in humans), Translational (Animal to Human or Human to clinical use and/or to publich heatlh), Data Science (Data must be from humans).
- Letter of nomination (1-page) from an expert in the field of study or the dean/senior official at a host institution describing the research accomplishment
- Three study summaries (300 words each)
- Study findings in non-scientific terms
- Specific biological innovation of the study
- Potential impact on patient care and/or how the findings contributed to improved understanding
- PDF of published or unpublished article
- If unpublished, letter or e-mail from reputable journal confirming publication prior to December 31, 2026.
