Dear Clinical Research Forum,

Due to mounting concerns about COVID-19, the Clinical Research Forum Board of Directors has decided to hold a virtual Top 10 Awards event this year, instead of convening on April 14 at the National Press Club.  Because we are a community of healthcare leaders with patient responsibilities, we feel it is prudent to be cautious and mitigate risk, especially since we may be called upon in the near future to use our expertise in the care of others and our communities.

Plans are still coming together for this virtual event. We will let you know the final timeslot and plans by Friday, March 20th, if not sooner.

In addition to holding a virtual event, please note that the organizers of the Translational Science conference, at which Top 10 awardees were scheduled to appear, has been cancelled. Too many attendees from academic health centers are now under travel restrictions to make the conference viable.

We are looking forward to publicly recognizing each of the awardees, and announcing this year’s Herbert Pardes Award for Clinical Research Excellence, and two Distinguished Clinical Research Achievement Awards.

It is so inspiring to see the dedication, passion, and intelligence of all of our awardees, not to mention tremendously exciting to understand more of the science behind their amazing and innovative breakthroughs. We know that whatever happens in the next few days or months, this group will undoubtedly continue to contribute to the health and safety of our world.

Please stay tuned for more information in the coming days. If you have any questions, please contact the CR Forum office at
